“I have been involved in competitive athletics for over 20 years, with a strong background in self-defense and martial arts, strength training and conditioning, and nutrition. For the last 15 years, I have devoted much of my time to the study of nutrition and human performance.

As a husband and father, I take great pride in leading by example, including exercise and proper nutrition. Through 2 pregnancies and the births of our daughters, I not only helped my wife, Pam, stay in good shape, but also achieve her best condition ever. I am well aware how hard it is to get in shape, get back into shape or achieve an advanced level of fitness. However, with a solid training program, sound nutrition and proper guidance, anyone can do it!

In a never ending quest for improved athletics and a healthier life, I have waded through almost every training method and nutrition program out there and found the CrossFit philosophy and training methods to be the best in the world! We have training and nutrition programs that can help you lose weight (fat), add lean mass (muscle), improve athletic performance and, most importantly, improve your overall health.”

“Following the birth of our second daughter, I found myself wanting and ready to be in my best shape ever. With Matt’s guidance on nutrition and our collaborative efforts in training, I was able to get back into better shape than I had been pre-babies. In fact, in my mid-thirties, I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been!

As a high-school athlete I had been a district champion and state-ranked cross-country runner with, looking back, extremely limited training methods and horrible nutrition. The knowledge we’ve gained in those two areas over the last fifteen years have allowed us to continually improve athletically and raise our children with proper nutrition and exercise a fundamental part of their lives.

I’ve had the good fortune of having Matt’s knowledge and passion for health at my disposal and have realized the value of sharing this knowledge with and helping others. Wanting to be in great shape and your best health is harder than reading an article in a magazine, occassionally exercising and hardly eating right. “I LOVE Crossfit!!! Over the years I have pursued and been interested in many types of exercise - bodybuilding, aerobics classes in all their forms, Pilates, Yoga, kick boxing and others. With each particular form, I felt “fit” and proficient in each. However, intuitively I knew that was not the case - that each modality had certain benefits, but not wholly all of the components of true fitness in them. I appreciate the Crossfit philosophy so much - varied, functional(keyword) movements done in a random, intense manner. In Crossfit I found movements that translate to everyday life for everybody, no matter what your profession - from our elite military, to mom to kids!!!

I am a mother, grandmother and cancer survivor and Army Vet. NO ONE investigating Crossfit should think for one moment that this program is not for you. I have been amazed at the strength(mental and physical) that I have gained personally and observed in my family and fellow Crossfitters. It is my hope that if you are reading this, that you will take the step to become your best self. You are not too old, been inactive too long, too sick, weak, overweight, too…..(fill in the blank) to not walk in our doors. Conversely, you are not too fast, strong, agile, too…..(fill in the blank) to not walk in our doors. Wherever you are in your journey of wellness and fitness, Crossfit will make you better at what you currently do. Keep it up and see what happens!!!”
