8-28-07 – Wednesday CFC Rest Day

On: August 28th, 2007 at 10:03 pm

Take a rest.  Take it easy.

While you are resting, take up a little reading. The greatest thing you can possibly do for your overall health, wellness, fitness and athletic performance is get your nutrition in proper order.

To do so, it is CrossFit Champions’ ongoing recommendation that you read these 2 outstanding books:

8ppowerlifeplan.jpg The Protein Power Life Plan by Dr. Michael Eades and Dr. Mary Eades.

enter_the_zone.jpg The Zone by Dr. Barry Sears.

If you missed our last Nutrition Seminar, stay tuned for the next date.  In our seminar, we go over nutritional basics from these 2 books and provide ample material and resources to get you on the right nutritional path.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the info at the last seminar. I haven’t been 100% strict on it, but I have changed my eating habits quite a bit. Not sure if I feel or see the difference yet, but after two weeks the scale says I have lost five pounds (175->170).

I did the Crossfit Total last night from your Monday WOD.
    SQ 205, SP 125, DL 255 (pr +30), Total 585 (pr)

Pretty happy with the new DL (1.5 x BWT). Total also put me into the Novice category. Still lots of room for improvement though. Need to add about 115# to get to the Intermediate category. I think my squat should be a little closer to my DL. I think squats could go up with some more reps to get the form down and just feel more confident with it. The shoulder press just needs some hard work.
