First, I have to say I planned on coming to CF this morning because of work committments I have today. I woke up without an alarm at 4:30, didn’t take advantage of it, went back to sleep, and an hour later decided that 5:30 was too early for me. Yes, I totally shorted myself.
So I am bowling with sales people for contacts and leads. Yep thats my job today. Does that constitute exercise? If I drink light beer perhaps?
P.S. I dreamt I was doing todays workout in that time between 0430 and 0530. Does that count???

I normally complain about my lack of rest and/or my poor nutritional choices on my Thursday post, but not today. No, I would like to point out the differences in what some people consider “recovery” time vs. what others would call ”I can just now straighten my legs and not puke time”. Matt tried to convince me this morning that during one period I had spent 8 min recovering (I know this couldn’t be the case as there is no way I could still feel that bad after 8 min). So I have decided that my best strategy may be to hide between sets to gain valuable time. The space between the big doors on the outside looked good, except I had to walk there (painful) and Matt spotted me on the way. Any husband or father can tell you that the bathroom is the closest thing to a safe place since Quasimodo screamed “sanctuary” from the top of Notre Dame. However, the bathroom is the only part of the front not air conditioned, and being a husband and father Matt would probably check there first. So I resigned my self to walking on the road which still hurt and fooled no one, but if Matt wanted me on the rower he was going to have to come get me taking time and attention away from the other rowers. Yes, that is the equivalent of tripping your friends as you run from the bear. If any one has another idea for later in the day when there are more trainers and daylight I would like to hear those. Seriously, thanks for the push this morning Matt. Lana and Casey I don’t think you realize how impressive your performance has been lately keep it up. The entire morning crew looks strong and we are looking for volunteers.

Speaking of grass-fed animals (from the other day’s discussion), check out http://www.paidom.com. This is a sustainable, environmentally-responsible, all grass-fed rancher out of west texas who sells meat in bulk at wholesale prices direct to consumers (it works out to a be cheaper than what you’d pay at whole foods for “orgainc” meat, which is nonsense). You can place your order on his website, and he delivers in person in the houston area every other month. I’ve recieved several orders from Alan and couldn’t be happier.
