Thank you, Tim.

You're spot on, Matt P. The mental games involved in yesterday's row took more effort than the rowing itself. One thought that repeatedly ran through my head was "How on Earth did Lana and Laura row so freakin' far last week?" And now, because such thoughts were the basis of yesterday's row, I'm thinking that a really long row is in order for me as well as the odd distance, like you mentioned. It's all mental and chinks in the armor need to be dealt with, imo.
It's much the same in all of life. I stop drinking coffee randomly every once in a while so that I can tell myself, like any good addict, that I could quit anytime I truly wanted to. Of course, as Chris has pointed out, since I pick it back up I haven't truly quit drinking it and like any good addict I say that that's because I don't want to right now. Mental games.
I need to go "discuss" with a Weenie dog that I don't want him chewing on my dining room chair now.
Great job everyone!

Level 2&2/3
26:37
I started w/the 70# KB also but it was too hard controlling it when I fatigued so I changed to 55#.
I like the Turkish get-ups & look forward to trying them w/more weight to see where the 'weak link' is in the movement.

Matt P's next row:
2223 meters

Strategically choosing the level 2 or level 1(scaling the as prescribed workout) workout comes down to knowing your body and limitations, and is a sound practice by any good athlete. Matt P is better than good at knowing when to do what.

Level II (55lb KB 20lb DB)
14:04
Sorry 11 hours recovery on 5 hours sleep one swing on that 70lbs and I chose to slap the bear on a better day. One observation is that my body almost knew to the foot when I passed the 500m mark, and said "whoooaaa". Maybe we should vary our training with more random distances 625, 400, 1100 hell why not 721. You get the idea (good or not please comment).
